Gribblehirst Hub is in a growth phase, and as such are looking for support for our operations team. We have the following paid contractor positions available which may be combined for the right person. There will be a requirement for each role to work some hours on-site during open hours.

If you or someone you know would be suitable for these positions, we are taking expressions of interest by email to coordinator@ghub.nz Candidates should share a little about themselves, and what relevant skills and experience they could bring to each role. Candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand and undergo police vetting.

Community Connector

6-8 hours weekly, 12 months fixed term contract

$30-35/hour

This is a project-based role to support the Community Emergency Hub.

 

Working with the Hub coordinator team, Auckland Emergency Management, and Neighbourhood Support, the Community Connector will:

  • help to develop a site-specific Emergency Response Plan

  • support a hyper-local volunteer network,

  • and provide opportunities for engagement with the community who live in our neighbouring streets with emergency response as the focus.

Volunteer and Timebank Coordinator

10 hours weekly, contract

$30/hour

Working alongside the Hub coordinator team, the Volunteer and Timebank Coordinator will:

  • develop and implement a volunteer programme for the Hub that can be integrated with the Timebank

  • promote the Timebank and volunteering opportunities at the Hub (via social media, print, newsletter, website, creative communications)

  • recruit, manage, and support volunteers at Hub events

  • meet and induct new Timebank members

  • run monthly “Timebank Tuesday” dinners and workshops

  • and create and support opportunities to volunteer at the Hub.

Gribblehirst Hub, as we know it, is the culmination of thousands of hours given by dozens of volunteers for over a decade. There are many opportunities to help out at various events, working bees, in our Community Garden or as part of our Community Emergency Hub.
