Moxie Product Making
Recreate NZ is a unique and innovative registered Charitable Trust established in 2002. Our Kaupapa is to provide life-changing experiences for young people with disabilities. Moxie is a programme that provides purposeful work experience and on-the-job training for people with intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities to develop pathways towards meaningful community contribution. Moxie’s horticulture work experience programmes led to the creation of a small-scale social enterprise. Our Harvest engages an inclusive culture from garden to jar to market. Produce grown in the Moxie gardens and orchard is turned into delicious pickles & preserves by the Moxie Product Making group. These consist of jams, jellies, sauces, chutneys, and relishes. Products are then sold at local markets, providing a great platform to sell, network, and connect our young people in society. Our Harvest is Growing Goodness Together.
